I guess it's just a matter of luck finding the correct spot to grab a header.

I second that - but I use html-trap.procmail. It's fast enough for my uses (300 to 400 emails a day) and is easy enough for me to understand and customize.
It's main features are:
Trapping (dumping) emails based on attachment type (great to get rid of those pesky vbs worms).
Mangleing (sp?) of filenames so that no files are run automagicly by Outlook/Scripting Engine. Users are forced to save the file and rename the file (gives the antivirus software a fighting chance to kill the menace, if any).
Dumping files based on the amount of Macros in a DOC or XLS (if you don't dump or mangle them).
Kills webbugs and mangles HTML messages.
Great reporting mechanism - at least I think it's great.
I know it doesn't do what the author suggested but even without subject recongnition it killed the 3 NakedWife worms that tried to get into my network,

To make the open source movement something the PHBs can understand you have to give them MS-like solutions. An Outlook Killer is a step in this direction. "Sir, why buy 2000 Outlooks (or whatevers) if there's this one for free that we can tailor to due as you, the almight Lord Boss, please?".
Face it, they need a comparison - you can't expect a non-techie to understand that Linux is superior to Windows ?? due to it's stability, you need to make them understand through ca$h ($$$$$$) or something else.

Uptime here isn't really critical but the server farm (or the Freezer as I call it due to the two heavy duty ACs) has to work properly so all during this week - now half over - I've been shutting down non-essencial tasks (mostly automated file and non-essencial program updates), distribuiting the email load over 2 servers (redundancy is always good) and creating redundancy in every system I can so that the basic services don't stop.
Since this vacation has been planned for a month now I've had plenty of time to stress test my Freezer and determine the weakest links and resolved those issues. I'm nearly all packed, I've just gotta resolve some email issues and redirect my two main alias accounts to the rest of the tech staff.
I guess it really helps to have a few weeks of advanced notice to work things out - if you're in a rush, my sugestion would be to stay close, don't travel to far or - better yet - don't go anywhere that doesn't have internet connectivity and don't forget to pack a SSH client on a disk or CD (for Windows 'cause it's EVERYWHERE).
Another thing, leave a copy of the main passwords with someone, you never know when they'll need it.

A few months ago I bought an old stereo headphone with mic on sale at a discount bin in a local electronics store. The brand/model/whatever is "Elveco" (that's it), it's a full ear model, works very nicely and has a tested 50 m radius (including walls and a few other computers nearby) from the antena. The mic is sensitive for my needs and very flexible although I leave it off most of the time. The mic picks up great for 25 m and after that it just drops off. The base runs off a little AC/DC converter (or 2 AAA batteries) and the receiver runs off 2 AAA batteries.
I bought it for R$ 80 (80 brazilian reais ~= US$ 40). I wish there was more information on how to find one I could give you. There's a little sticker on the antena base and the headset (which isn't heavy BTW, just the right weight to not bother me) that's writen in "Radiocom Privees France Professionnal" and is dated from 07/1997 (so it's a bit old also).

First of all - when you aren't obligated to vote (as brazilians are) - people that don't care will just stay home - as a matter of fact, most people will just stay home, the voter turnout will be much lower than the already are (think about it, would you go out in the cold to vote for something that won't affect you).
