Well, not to say your upcoming wedding isn't important, but I can't quite see how it all relates to the general genre of this site. It seems I've had a growing concern regarding the contents of Slashdot since mid last year, and I often question / wonder how one chooses an everyday delemma over a funky new scientific discovery to post to the geek community.
I apologise if this is the wrong place for such a comment, but hasn't anybody else noticed the rising trend? I just want News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters!
This is all good and well, but I distinctly remember spending hours with a kitchen knife trying to get the damn pause button back out while playing Alex the Kid on the Master System! Surely I wasn't the only one.
Well my friend, think of a worst case scenario, you live in outback Australia and your lightning fast 56K barely reaches 28.8, that's when billy bob down the road hasn't tractored over the phone line or town fiber link, or your modem hasn't been hit by lightning for like the eigth time:) Still think your DSL/Cable connection bites?
