some days all I can get is 2 kbs
it's because I am in South Africa and we don't have a digital infrastructure, my American collogues constant mail me and tell me of 1600 kbs on dial up and how they download superfluous stuff that they don't even look at most of the time, hell I am so underprivileged I have never even experienced streaming audio let alone streaming video.

why dont they just bring down the price on work station open gl cards , and if it's because they have to sell those because a. the r and d has to be covered or the parts are expensive , if they made them cheaper they wuld sell more thus making more profit, i oxygen wild cat card is fast it's just expensive , not that the geforce 3 is cheap mind you

so i wake up this morning turn on the tv and cnn is reporting how Mir has just past over Japan and how the goverment was issuing warnings , and im eating my flakes, and they are building the tention up for over a hour, interviewing the guy who used to be the plumber back in 87 to the guy who makes Mir Comenarative underpants and sells them on e-bay , i stategically time a quick trip to work, run inside and turn back on there satalite , and what does the short little American from CNN say ?
" looks like Mir is in the drink "
thats it all the hype the coverage and they get Beavis to say it's in the drink , where where the pictures ? the religios cults chanting the end id night , the pieces of the station breaking up and taking out Japanese fishing trawlers causeing massive movie explosions, a space virus comming down and causing a fog of death over japan ? i mean talk about a let down , and why where there no pictures ? and how much sea life did that thing crashing down kill this morning ?

what happens ? the get investment , earn money than they care to know what to do with for a year or two , the goverment shuts them down , these innovative guys still have all the money they earned in the startup phase as salarys, so what happens they mull around a few years later after there companies are forced to shut down for whatever copyright law, they will just start something new , not for money once again , but because they are bored , and miss the chalange, shawn flanning , will never go to jail , and his anual 6 figure salary he has been getting will never be taken back , but napster might fold yeah sure, but then again so what if it does , the nature of foot solidiers is you knock one down 5 more stand up to take his place, they are fighting a loosing battle, one where the corporate paradigms have nothing but vapour and legend to try grab on and stop .

What if black holes are the " rivits " of the fabric of the universe, or anchors ther emust be more to it , because if the universe was teeming with them , and lets say that in the beggining teeming phase the universe was a great deal smaller , there fore more black holes in less space , each exerting a vast amount of gravity , would they attract or repel each other like magnets ?
and if they repled , would it enhacne the push from the big bang , or act as anchor weights to slow down the furious fast explosion, maybe they were used in the beggining to make sure the intial " bang " never totaly ripped itself up , kind of held it in cheque ?

how do we actually know if this is the truth , the history of science is riddeld with , breaking theorys that months or years later are dispoved by smarter or more astute people, i am not saying this is the case here , and maybe i have watched to much tv, look at hawkings in the early 90's a few years later he discredited his findings himself ( i saw that on discovery channel, again to much tv, but then again anything i learnt of any worth in life came from tv and movies ).

Last year i heard that there were two possible series scenarios, the first and best by far would be a show , where every week you follow a story on a diffrent federation ship in the star trek universe , and the stories slowly weave into each other , and each season finale ties up all of the threads that were placed on the diffrent ships over the past weeks, the second was the story of Captain Sulu and his journeys, which come to think of it would tie in with the theme you guys mention here, lets just hope they stay clear of to many human interst story episodes cause those suck, imagine a entire new episode of " this week on Star trek , Sulu realises that he has feelings , and shares them with the crew , only to find out nobody actually cares " , charater insite is such a bore, who ever said they liked the way picard was like a farther to " Weasel " Crusher, but i remeber those time travel ones
