    I don't want to sound like an Illuminati/trilatteral commission conspiracy theorist whacka-loon, but it does seem like they are more interested in getting us signed up for AHA than they are in providing us the benefits of AHA. I can't help but wonder if there aren't some rights or perogatives that we are unwittingly signing away when we sign up.

    The company that was the prime contractor CGI Group's American subsidiary CGI Federal also did several of the State Exchanges which are reported to be operating, so I suspect there is more to it the "Contractors screwed up" to it. If the problem was unexpected load, they would have just connected more webservers to the load-balancers, threw in a few more database servers, and did some industrial strength query caching; since they didn't my guess is it's much more of a team effort fuck up than an individual fuck up.

    Actually if the science was being done correctly, these Scientists should be salivating like Pavolv's dog at the oppertunity to be able to factor out natural cyclical climatic changes so that human contributions would be obvious.

    Fructose is associated with fatty liver disease, fructose is a monosaccaride that the liver must convert into glucose before it can be utilized, sucrose (table sugar) is a disaccaride composed of fructose and glucose.

    If the vaccine prevents infection by the virus and thereby the immune system's attack your islet cells, then the possibility of an effective stem cell treatment becomes more likely.

    if the vacine produces an appropriate antibody, they may not become infected with the virus and have the body produce an inappropriate antibody to the virus which damages the cells. Naturally we produce antibodies for the virus itself and antibodies for infected cells, if there is enough viral antibodies the cells may not get infected enough to produce infected cell antibodies.

    .... if you know somebody for whom diabetes is a lifelong affliction since childhood, and kids who need shots for diabetes, that's type 1. A cure would be a huge deal.

    Used to be, Kids are now developing type II diabetes at an alarming rate; youthfull energy levels used to provide immunity to type II to kids, but their diets suck just as bad as adult's, schools are dropping gym classes and receses and they are vegging out in front of the TV, video game and cellphone so they are just as sedentary as adults now.

    Have a read of the climategate emails, at the level of competence required everybody knows everybody and everybody talks shop and trash with everybody. If someone needs to know, they know all the front channels and back channels to get what they want.

    Making weapons grade botulinus toxin is more about purification and concentration than it is about acquiring the raw materials. Killing a few people by accident is rather easy, killing twenty or thirty on purpose is quite difficult.

    The whole Colistidia family is of pretty intensely studied both C botulinus and C diff present significant medical hazards C botulinus is also intensity studied due to the potential bio weapon use. C abc has long been commercially to produce organic solvents like acetone and presently to ferment the bio fuel butanol.

    Withholding the sequence will just slow down amateurs.

    First the NSA intecepting SIGINT isn't a suprise, it's on their web-site as half of what they do, go there and read their mission statement. The only surprise is that they are able to do it as well as they are doing it.
    Secondly having a secure email system is a seperate issue from having your Emails intercepted; in fact if you don't automatically assume that everything you say or do is being observed and intercepted by the "bad-guys(tm)" your unlikely to do what it takes to maintain a secure system.

    It's natuaral for one set of "good-guys(tm)" to survail another set of "good-guys(tm), the "bad-guys(tm)" certainly are and the only thing worst than having the "bad-guys(tm)" steal your secrets, is not knowing what's available for the "bad-guys(tm)" to steal

    You're of course assuming that the purpose is the same as it's stated purpose, to work, rather than funnel money that used to go to the Good 'ol Boys to the Good New Boys.

    The Bottom lines is we pay $5 - 5.5K per capita for health care or $ 1.57 - 1.727 trillion, just add the DOD budget to the Medicare/Medicaid and the difference is a measley $200B of chump change; anything that doesn't gut the DOD is just liberal feel-good smoke and mirrors. Middle-class People are reporting their quotes on the exchanges are in the $500.00 a month with a $20,000.00 anual deductable range, that's just insane.

    Dude they're cockroaches, torture invovles the infliction of pain for gain, you are assuming they even feel pain. Each animal has a very different sense of what causes pain. If I've cut your finger nail it's nothing to you, your dog goes into whimper mode, yet if I grab a hemostat full of ear hair and rip it out you'll scream like your being murdered, but your dog will not even flinch! Also you're assuming we don't do it on people. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was attempted by Silvanus P. Thompson back in 1910, and it has evolved into something that can allow a human brain-to-brain interface. Brain pacemakers and are being used more and more.

    Hell you could a take a cockroach, cut off it's head and as long as you could jab a feeding tube down it's gullet, it would even die!

    The kids used to string a piece of popcorn onto their fishing line, clamp a bb shot sinker onto it and cast it into the air. Seagulls woulds snatch the popcorn in mid-air and the kids would fly them like a kite. You would think the seagulls would learn to let go of the pop-corn and liberate themselves, but the fist in the cookiejar would keep them trapped until the kids got bored and cut the line.
