it's complete bullshit. i used to live in phoenix and visit san diego a lot before i eventually moved there... there are 2 checkpoints along the way... 20 officers standing around... 2-3 dogs, and this is all way inland, near sheriff joe's tent jail, just waiting for new customers to add to their federal subsidy claim list. all of this happened when jails became for profit businesses, rather than state mandated reform.
it reminds me of german nazi checkpoints demanding that citizens show their papers, lest they be stripped of their hair and teeth, then gassed and burned.
i felt completely terrorized. the border patrols are essentially terrorists. a drone should bomb them, and then bomb the carcasses, and then bomb all of the officers' families to spare them the pain of mourning... also, ties to terrorists make you a terrorist, so they would deserve it. the attorney general has already stated that assassinating american citizens who are homeland security threats is perfectly legal.
i've never ever ever heard of a circumstance where an abuser would threaten more abuse if the person left them... not once have i heard that, or even read that it is very common amongst domestic violence. never.
