    On a related note, has anyone seen rc5/des benchmarks in any of the reviews? Though I've read many of the reviews, because there're so many, I haven't had time to read them all...

    I know that there were some scores rumored to be about 1.6 Mk/sec, I'd prefer some verifiable numbers :).

    I also go to VA Tech (majoring in CS), but the dilemma I have is that I don't think they're any girls left in my classes; there were some in previous years, but they all seem to be gone by now... Is my only recourse to take Sociology and the like?

    I just checked -- it's called the "Criterion" Collection. I've also seen it listed as the "Director's Cut" elsewhere. A choice quote from the first link:
    • This version includes the 'excessively violent' scenes which the MPAA made Verhoeven cut in order to obtain a more marketable R rating.
    Yes! That's now in my queue of DVDs-to-buy :).

    Ooh, I'd love to see the NC-17 version of Robocop. I consider it to be a scifi classic, and I'd like to see the NC-17 version not simply because of the "NC-17", but because I'd like to see it as close as the director had originally intended it.

    I must heartily recommend reading that review. I almost fell off my chair laughing :). Another choice quote:

    I'll be graduating in May, and in the months leading up to that, I will begin my search for a "real job". My thinking is that money is only worth so much, and the work environment makes a real difference to personal satisfaction. At my current summer internship I have:
    • Basically no dress code
    • Free soda fountain
    • Monthly company-sponsored TGI Friday's parties with free beer and food
    Are there any other perks I should look out for in an employer?

    That was actually considered ;). However, the Pilot has such intense power conservation (as one person put it "Even when it's on, it's off") that the client would kill your battery life :-/.

    Eco Hack is a util that underclocks your Pilot to save batteries. However, it's shareware and I'd rather not pay for more software (just my opinion).
