Wave Race, Rouge Leader, Conkers other bad day.. the list will go on and on. Mario Kart, F-Zero Metroid Prime.. and these are just SOME of the GAMECUBE EXCLUSIVES, who knows what hasn't been annouced yet.
I have ps2, its pretty good, but so far GT3 is the only game that has really impressed me, and there is alot of room for improvment there.
I'll enhoy THPS3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 alot as well, but Metal Gear Solid 2 is coming out for xbox also and if konomi is smart they'll port it to GCN, THPS3 is going to be ported to GCN by Neversoft, so it will be better then the ps2 version not just a direct port, albeit a few months late. So far the ps2 only has a few exclusive games that are sure to be great.
If only Sony had a developer as good as Rare working exclusivley for them.
"And no, records don't sound better. They have better FREQUENCY RESPONSE, which is only one part of fidelity. On music that isn't ultra compressed (classical, jazz, folk, etc.), the low-volume information is buried in a wall of vinyl noise. CDs don't have this problem.
Grow up, emo kid. Some people are actually a lot smarter than you.
First off I'm not emo. And secondly. You can complain about the short comings of Vinyl all you want, but I'm guessing your listening tom mp3's right now. and isn't this whole thing about how we wont be able to easily make mp3's from CD's any more. Isn't mp3 a lossy compression, wait, doesnt that mean, yes, that they don't sound as good as CD's.
I know there are alot of people smarter than me, when did I claim to be smarter than anyone. I bet you think you are one of the smarter people though.
"I suppose you think those are "pop bullshit" bands?"
Yes I do. I used to listen to korn once upon a time. They now suck, their first record is good though.
What would you consider a good album released after 1990 that is not on vinyl?
Buy Vinyl. If it isn't released on Vinly it probably is some pop bullshit that isn't meant to last (or be good anyway).
Records sound better anyway, pure analog, can't copy protect that.
i listen to mostly bands on indie labels anyway.
i buy their music, i see them at shows, and i know that they will be the last, if at all, to stop me from making mp3's of my CD's on my own computer for my own listening.
I'm also sure M$ has the time to look up this information on millions of Windows users.
I can't wait for the part of the movie where Bill Gates divulges his master plan.
Last year nintendo made more money on software sales than EA, Sega, and Sony. Totaling in at just under 1 billion dollars. So to say nintendo doesn't have the cash to play with the likes of Sony and MS is like saying Michael Jordan was never fit to play basketball. Oh yeah, sony has been shipping it's console at a loss since its release in Japan and it's shortcomings in software sales are not helping. Since X-box will no doubt ship at a loss and Nintendo stands to make money on each console it sells, the picture looks alot clearer for nintendo.
If any company has it's work cut out for it in the console business it is Microsoft.
Imagine a beowulf cluster of those.
Gamecube = 199
This DVD player = 99
Total = 298
PS2, still costs more

You forgot to mention Rouge Squadron 2: Rougue Leader, IMHO The game to go home with at launch.
Yeah but nintendo isnt run by a bunch of fuck ups either, they will meet their numbers.
Yes there are, but the cost quite alot of money.

It's false advertising in a way. It is a stretch, I doubt the music industry could be beaten with it though.
