Are you telling me you lack the basic ability to make moral judgements? In other words you could sit by and let someone kill a child because it was culturally exceptable for them? Rationalize it away because of your twisted moral relativism? Beat women and hang teenagers for sexual activity? I want to call you stupid but I am not sure that is appropriate. If you really believe that is right, you aren't only dumb, you are evil.

Haha. You retard. You are so fucked up you equate putting your parents into an old folks home with killing a baby. Not only that, you have the balls to call it perspective. Let me ask you, is belonging to a different culture justification for denying people rights we consider fundamental? I mean how far can we take this perspective thing? Kill people for speaking out against the government? Hang women for having sex out of wedlock? Kill and eat one and other? I mean, please, oh wise and cultured one, let me know when it stops being "cultural" and starts to be a fucking problem...

You are right of course. This is only one small step in that direction. "nutzo egalitarianism" will not happen. The reason it won't happen is people like yourself will transfer power, in it's name, to people that will take advantage of it. So in the name of equality, the children, the future, the sick, the weak, or whoever is weighing you down with some sort of guilt, you will cause the very corruption you seek to prevent. Egalitarianism will not happen because the path towards it is an illusion, leading to oppressive tyranny instead.

It would be like your opinions are weighted see... if you are really, really, dumb your ideas are almost sure to get implemented! This is sarcasm right?

I mean you wouldn't be so stupid as to justify laws in that fashion would you? Can you imagine laws forcing you to tie your shoes? Make your bed maybe? How about eat your breakfast, or exercise. I know, a law that says you shouldn't eat to many big macs, or drink soda.

This discussion started based on soon to be restrictions on political speech. Do you think some of the justification of those laws will be for our own good? I do. Do you know where the legislative branch can shove their laws abridging political discourse? Yeah, so do I.

What is funny about the snakeoil thing, is that it is surely a response to the last battery improvement story someone posted. Remember? It was total bullshit about some sticker you put on your battery, and someone at slashdot bought into their PR.

Burned from the last time, they put "Snake oil?" in the heading, but this time it is something with some research behind it. Not saying it isn't possibly crap, but it looks _way_ more legit than the last thing.
