The difference is the internal view of the morality from within the corporation versus the external view of the morality by the general public. The point is that, within the corporation it is viewed as moral to do whatever results as the greatest benefit for the company. This does not necessarily describe the public view of their actions (as in this case, many people view it as being morally wrong for MS to suggest a remedy such as this). If killing and robbing people was viewed as the best way to earn profit for a corporation, the corporation would view such actions as morally acceptable since they are in the best interest of the company. However, outsiders are free to view such actions as immoral. Additionally, because there are laws against such actions, the company would be in some way punished by the external forces.
However, you can't hold the executives of a corporation as responsible to react in a way that makes the public happy about their decisions when they are staying within the law.
There is academic work into asynchronous designs. The primary obstacle (I believe) is that all the tools we have (and have been designing for 30+ years) are based on the synchronous paradigm. Plus, all the engineers Intel has know how to design and optimize synchronous circuits, but may not with asynchronous. I'm not sure what it will take for this switch to occur, because from what i've seen you do got a lot better of a processor with asynchronous, but the barrier to entry seems too high...

This is the lamest karma whore I've seen...
or peen.us
How about... this joke was already posted before you posted it.us
The discussion had turned to the general impact of human genetic engineering... not limiting it to cloning...
Yeah, because it's not like it's inevitable that we'll figure it out or anything...
What 'very bad things' could it be used for?
The rhyme scheme is
A B
C B
brain-boy
Whore... Karma whore...
Please, do *not* procreate
Don't make me force my massive throbbing cock down *your* throat...
Lumping Intel and MS into the same category is pretty ridiculous.
And if you're dead you have no freedoms... shove your cliche emotional pleas up your arse...
He wrote a basic interpreter which worked the first time they ran it on an actual machine... that's not too shabby...
I'm sorry was it not obvious that I was joking? If not, you're pretty thick headed...
I agree with the others... pretty nice... my only criticism is the word is spelled benign...
The answer is obvious... kill yourself...
