You don't seem very bright, you appear to be replying to a *VERY* different post to the one I wrote. I did NOT say these were the only possible ways of doing something, I said I did use them, and in doing so I came to rely on them, then Google in their infinite wisdom decided to pull the rug, and it is for this very reason I'm cautious about becoming reliant on other Google products.
My main problem with this is it's a Google sub-project, and as much as I love their core products, they do have a habit of pulling things as soon as you become dependant on them (reader, AppInventor, and health for three examples I did depend on until they vanished). OK any company can pull a product, but it seems to be a favourite Google pass time.

They do, it's called verbatim, sadly you do need to turn it on again with each new search though.
This seems to be just a variation on a tachograph, and that's been about for almost a hundred years now!
I'm not saying I'd be front of the line to sign up for one f these 'deals', but if somebody else is that's their choice, and ergo not a breach of their privacy.
so what should they have done? Just let those pieces of random garbage data take up space on the iPod for the rest of its life? Forced you to erase the whole thing just to get rid of them?
They should have gone with option 1, just left the non-working files on the device.
So they would have been sued for wasting space on iPods instead.
Why would they be sued for wasting space if they didn't waste the space? It was the user who put the files there, not them!
a PIN code sent to a cellphone is *NOT* the only way to do this (and it's not even that dificultto change), a pregenerated list would probably be the easiest way of doing it (assuming they don't want to install Google Authenticator on their phone).
I'm not in the least bit botherd by this, I only used rooted devices so if something isn't of use to me, I just take it out, but to be honest most of the Google core apps are of use (infinatley most than the crap the OEM's add).
When I first moved to Linux, the one app I was loathed to leave behind was Eudora, fortunately it ran without hitch under WINE. I think it may even be still installed on one of the machines here, but I've not looked since I moved to gmail LOL
I'm actually amazed this terrible show is still going. The basic premise of the show is if two mediocre SFX guys and/or three (whatever they are, children's TV presenters, or something, not scientists anyway) can't do something quickly, easily, and above all cheaply, it's totally impossible! I've never seen so much bad science in one place (outside of a creationist museum, that is).
I've always been a hardcore Fedora man, but the new version of GNOME is so bad I've now started using Ubuntu on new machines. So, either use Fedora 14 (that still has a usable version of GNOME), or go with Ubuntu.
Well it is nice to see Apple get a taste of their own medicine after the photoshopped documents they got away with, but it is getting way beyond a joke now. These patents are meant to inspire innovation, not stifle it.

I think you'll find it's called GNU/Popcorn!

But what about May? May2015 is a character short ;^/

Does it come in Braille?

>DPR was caught arranging to hire a hitman
Was he though? Odd that it didn't appear on his charge sheet if that was what actually happened.

Why not both?

A F.U.D. campaign from Micro$oft? Never seen that before. Oh, hang on...
It's always a pleasure to see M$ running scared LOL
