  1. Shadow People on Following April Fool's Day Around The World? · · Score: 1

Okay, last night, I went to set my alarm clock, started switching through the radio stations, and I found something strange. One channel was giving warnings to keep all of your lights on until further notice, because "man-shaped shadows" were destroying the neighborhood and killing everyone in sight. It was strange how much work they put in to this: Eyewitness accounts of the creatures, reporters claiming that they were being "horribly mutilated" by these "god-forsaken freaks of nature". It was even complete with SFX such as screaming, roaring, and sounds of carnage. Very good April Fool's Joke!

  5. Will this harm airplanes? on Geomagnetic Storm To Begin Tonight · · Score: 1

If so: 1) How can we get Bill Gates to fly somewhere during the storm? 2) How about the Presidential Candidates? (Florida: The sunshine wait) On a more serious note, will this affect airplanes, and if so, what are airports doing to prevent disaster and still get passengers to their destinations?

  6. Hmm... on Tracking The Status Of Popular Websites? · · Score: 1

Wouldn't it be possible to set up a .rdf (you know, a SlashBox) on slashdot with server stats from your favorite sites, if you could get the data? Or would that bog down the servers too much with everyone at once accessing th net stats for CNN, NBC, Yahoo, etc., etc., etc.? I for one would like to see something like this implemented.
