Still, we can see that the best guitars, for example, are made in either US or Japan. And you can definitely tell the difference between sweatshop manufacture and these. Country matters, ahem.
Frankly saying, yes, Windows is the lowest common denominator, everything works under it.
But don't you dare say that it doesn't suck. DLink WIFI adapters suck a magnitude more under Windows because of the unstable user interface. Your electric shaver may require a kitchen sink of a driver to work. Non-UVC cameras under Win7 are a nightmare.
I have kind of determined that, if something works without much hassle in Linux, it probably works better in Windows too.
Well, there is GIMP and Krita and a lot of other things that blow MSPaint out of the water, there is a pretty standard NetworkManager which is lightyears better than the Windows GUI for networking, there is a huge potential for configuration in KDE, going from the style of Win7 to mac to classic desktop to gnome, and most of the bloat (E.g. semantic desktop, akonadi, etc.) can and should be switched off.
We're talking about records here. The plumber doesn't get a nickel every time you use a shower, same as a musician who doesn't get a nickel when you listen to the record. The plumber, however, gets paid every time you want an appliance fixed. The musician gets paid whenever you buy his new record. I don't see any problems here.
In before you saying that you don't pay if you copy somebody's drainage system: Yeah, you don't. But then, people kind of value different things in plumbing and musicianship. I don't want to get into specifics of intellectual property, if such a thing exists, but it is a very different kind of fruit than the actual property.
Well, you know, rephrasing words of one not-so-famous musician, I'm not scared of pirate copies, I'm just scared of musicians never being paid. I am not exactly free from piracy myself, but I am more than willing to pay for tracks I enjoyed whenever I get money. Those who I do not like but listened to I just delete from my hard drive.
Okay, so can YOU tell me, please, what are the ethics of software piracy, or unauthorised copying, or however you name it? Yes, indeed, the RIAA were swimming in money in the previous years, but the artist got paid something. Now, the artist gets considerably less not because there is a technical possibility of copying, but because people willfully choose not to pay for the music they enjoy, e.g. they copy. How do you justify that?
Have you managed to back this one up? I really, really think that you are talking out your ass here.
Here is why: what you eat, e.g. corn, is a collection of organics that is transformed into ATP in your stomach, which has absolutely zero regard for all those genetic modifications. Now, if the corn has a different collection of organics, you might get a nasty issue, but NOT A MUTATION! Not a chance in hell.
I don't like the sound of this.

So, they have these universal processing units, and the ARM part of them is doing fuckall but DRM? I can't exactly say "yay".
Have you looked at Gnome 1? Yeah, I guess it was imitating giraffees or birds, and definitely not Windows.
KDE's default is still very resembling Windows, but it has a massive, massive potential for configuration.
So, basically, you don't have the "Name and description" on.
Also, please, tell me how Konqueror/Rekonq is worse than Opera/Firefox/Chrome. Or is Internet Explorer your favorite browser because it is clearly labeled?

Then it is not illegal.
It has been on the desktop for ages. The fact that it is now available on the mobile does NOT make it innovative or belonging to Apple.

Yeah, where is our Wayland, I ask? Where is our DirectFB? I don't understand that.

Skype has the basics of IRC-type commands, or at least it had them in Linux 2.2 and earlier.
Now, it is only a matter of determining who their owners actually are.
SSD means Solid State Disc, a faster permanent storage type than HDD, however lacking capacity-per-dollar of HDDs.
So why have you outsourced the jobs then?
I am not arguing about copyright, I am talking about people. I hear that they have ethics.

I saw that type of keyboard on early Sony-Erricson smartphones. Looked strange enough. I guess it may be better on tablets.

Also, he is one of the guys applying for .sucks. Kind of interesting why.
Which is even funnier.

Apollo was 119 metric tons into LEO, if I am not mistaken. It definitely should be bigger.
So you prefer that, instead of big players ripping everyone's work off, the big players would sue everyone smaller to oblivion, like they do today?
Quicktime won't cut it.
Nope, Slackware is well and still around. Sure, they aren't big, but at least they are pretty good and pretty stable. Troll someplace else.
