But seriously, does anyone know what games were developed there? Falafel Games seems to best be known for "Knights of Glory," which I've never heard of. But anything bigger?
No, they'll just make you sign a legal waver saying "It's okay to grab my balls" and if you refuse they'll just tell you they aren't doing business with you and tear up your ticket.
The problem is that Rand Paul isn't suggesting that the groping stop. He's suggesting that it be *privatized*, with no government oversight or accountability at all (even less than there already is). So the only thing that will change is that the person grabbing your balls will wear a different logo on his shirt--and answer only to a private company.
Wait, so you're annoyed by all the little costs, but advocate for some big tax increase?
I'm saying I would much rather them be upfront about it than to hide it in a million little places. If they have to increase taxes, so be it. But let them be open and honest about it.
I do realize that the words "open" and "honest" would have to be taught to politicians before they could do this, of course.
Now I've got to pay for every damned little thing in the OS too.
What's next, is there going to be an extra $5 charge every time I change the BIOS settings? A $2 charge by the firmware when I add RAM?
It's like government. No politician has the balls for raise taxes openly and directly, so instead you get a million nickel-and-dime fees and surtaxes to annoy the shit out of you at every turn.
Just raise the price of Windows if that's what you need to do, MS. I'd much rather a Windows license go from $100 to $120 than to have a window popping up at every turn saying I need to pay for some expansion pack if I want this-or-that little feature to work.
Yes, because Russia is clearly exactly the same as Germany in 1941. In fact, every country in the world that doesn't complete prostrate themselves before the U.S. Empire is Germany in 1941.
Russian missiles are set to travel over the North Pole, not over Europe. This system would only defend against missiles targeting Europe,
Europe is where the U.S. keeps most of its first strike nukes. Protecting those with a missile defense system leaves Russia at a huge disadvantage in any nuke war--and seriously upsets the Mutually-Assured-Destruction balance of power.
Between all the arrogant saber-rattling over Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, and China, you would think the U.S. not only thinks it can go it alone on everything, but may just stumble like a blind fool right into a world war.
The problem is that, without long periods of grinding, everyone will blow through all the content in no time and cancel their subscriptions. MMO's aren't about content, they're about keeping you paying that $15 a month--chasing something you can never catch.
ZeniMax Media owns both companies. And you think they're going to waste money developing both a separate stand-alone game and a MMO in the future? Nope. All the resources will go to the MMO from now on. No more single player Elder Scrolls games.
I've already watched The Knights of the Old Republic go from consoles (where they had their best sales) to a PC-only MMO. I'd hate to see the Elder Scrolls series leave the console forever too.
If people fail to take seriously one a major expoent of free software solely because of an acronym that can be read as a socially stigmatized word, then I feel they don't deserve to use it in the first place.
I'll concede your point if you'll agree to never, ever again ask the question "Why aren't more people using FOSS?"
So the gimp team can either change the name, or accept that the entire business world will never be willing to pay for support for this software.
Not only the business world, but also in the education world, the public sector, and pretty much anywhere else where the software could be seen in public.
And you thought women programmers were rare HERE.

Doesn't he know that a real politician gets his enemies back in *secret*?

The Syrian government figured out the Achilles heal of any Muslim. Just call the file "Allah Akbar" and they'll blindly open it up.

We certainly can and probably will see another stand-alone Elder Scrolls game.
Have you seen any Warcraft or Knights of the Old Republic stand-alone games recently?
They couldn't charge you $15 a month for multiplayer.
...Per Server!
Many have tried. All have failed.

They're not independent of each other. ZeniMax Media owns both companies. And where do you think all the resources will be going from now on?
This means we'll never see another stand-alone Elder Scrolls game. Deal with it.
Well, not everyone can be as sophisticated as you.
Not to mention the fact that's it's going to be a little hard to be the Chosen One when everyone else is too.
But this could be the WoW killer!!

If you need any further evidence, just look at old boxers.

That would certainly explain a lot about CS5.
