The BookPC's are $170 from Directron.
Then go get an AMD K63 or K63+ 450 for $50.
K63 is a laptop processor, but works if you set the voltage at 2.1(MB doesn't to 2.0).
I clock it at 500 Mhz.
You probably need an IR keyboard or other IR controller. Keyboard is $100. Or you could have got the DVD/black version of the BookPC which came with the IR control.
Now the software. Currently I just run 'aviplay' to play divx's and some mp3 player.
But this is all manual. What is needed is a automatic way to detect and play any media when it is loaded either by disc type (CD,DVD,VCD) or by extention (Discs full of mp3,avi,mpg,mp3,mp2,mpa,ac3,vob,mov,...,xmameroms)
Because the Mozilla team never did really address the main problem with Netscape (splitting up the browser, news and mail), you still can't set it up to use an external mail or news program.
I say who cares about what RMS and others say. Mix and match whatever source works. Then distribute your code or use it as you please. If worse comes to worse, you could post the code anonymously or put it on FreeNet or something similar. This way you avoid legal and religious harassment of the GNU fanatics.Code was meant to be free.
Forgive me as I didn't RTFwhatever,
but doesn't the Gutenberg project copyright works that they type in?
Or is that legal to recopyright a public domain work in a new format?
If it is legal, then it should be copyrighted with some sort of "All derivations must be free" copy aggreement.
If there is no basis for such a copyright, then obviously there is no basis for re-copyrighting a Gutenberg e-book.
Arnold Clone: I am the clone, so I'll leave your family alone and go away.
Arnold: Thanks.
Would you be that considerate if you went home one day only to realize that you were a clone?

Second, Debian's Linux based OS is "GNU/Linux".
Third, No I won't call other Linux Distributions by Debians product name.

Come on. SSH is a standard protocol. What if Tim Lee decided that he invented HTML(which he did) and everyone needs to call their shit something else?

So the architecture would be:
enum disc_type {CD, VCD1,VCD2, VCD3, SVCD, DVD, UNKNOWN};
when(disc inserted)
{
disk_type = determine_disc_type();
load_navigation(disc_type);
}
blah, blah, blah
Why not just get rid of all the color and just have black text on blinding white background with no borders.
That would be "clean" like everyone likes it.
Who cares about readability. Lets make it clean.
When does someone invent ".COM" technology?
Sounds like a step in the right direction.
Years ago, netscape had "all" the protocols:
ftp,http,gopher,and mail.
Now we have many streaming and file sharing protocols which are cludged into netscape somehow.
If mozilla fixed this and had protocol plugins, life would be great.

The request to have netscape split up has been made over and over since before Netscape opened the code.
I think, here, publicly complaining is likely to do as much or more than a feature request.
Because the Mozilla team never did really address the main problem with Netscape (splitting up the browser, news and mail), you still can't set it up to use an external mail or news program.
They deserve their fate.

Please, tell us precicely and in complete detail, one thing that it can't do.
Now, write a computer program doing precisly the actions you just detailed.
