Actually a powermac 733 will kill a 1ghz i386 processor in graphics performance. i386's arch just wouln't press the instructions. Ask some people who use both i386, and Mac, they will tell you the same.
Im willing to bet you will have to type in a key to play it, and it will ask for you to register when you turn it on. As for the modem in it, it will have an icon where you can register for MSN, and it will come with IE 5.5 embeded into it where you can't get rid of it without crashing the console. It will come with a registry. Every game you play, it will make an entry into it. The more games you play the slower it gets, and you will have to wipe it out and reinstall.
If you want a secure system.... Get digital Unix. It runs a 64 bit OS, which is actually unusable on 32bit Unix systems, or the 16bit windows systems. I believe there are some rumors going around about bringing Unix out to 64bit totaly. I for one would LOVE to see Solaris running like that. When I was in the army we used Solaris for everything. Security was a top issue. You can secure Solaris just as well as any other OS. It is just more complicated, and most people don't bother with it. When I got out 3 years ago I decided to buy a sparc and run it here.

Oh, it comes with a modem, wow. Im on cable, i won't settle for a modem. Indrema comes with a 10/100 nic. thats what I want to see. Not 20 year old outdated analog technology.

If you want a slug get M$'s work wich will probably wind up crashing just like their winCE, or get somthing fast like Indrema in which it is a console you can actually improve if you don't like it. Plus you get more hard disk space if you want it.
