When I think about it, the anticipation and expectation of each chess move is more or less the same level of excitement I get from each minute in Starcraft, or turning the corner and seeing someone else in Quake III. I don't know if this is really that far fetched.
Although, I have yet to see a study from the mass media making chess players mass murderers...
Something tells me that we have a long way to go until people are really scared of drones. I bet a good sledgehammer and an Afgan could take a BattleBot any day.
And something else tells me that the lever type of battle-bot wont work. Most humans can either still shoot from on the ground, or will just stand back up after getting flipped. Neat, huh?
Maybe if we had a few million Battle-Bots though...
Let me tell you something about Internet petitions. They don't work.
If everyone signs it with names like "l33t h4x3r" and "BoJangles Smith" it is not going to work. The names could be forged by a multiple account process, and even if they are not, the log on names are anonymous.
Think for a moment, will the FBI, Adobe, or the Criminal Justice system care at all at a long list of anonymous people? No. So write your real name, address, and hell, send a picture too, but all to a snail mail address. Or if you are going to do it over the internet, verify the information somehow.
If nothing else, I think Skylarov would like to know the real names of people who support them, and not their "aliases."
that Linux is not good enough? Oh sure, millions say that FreeBSD has better SMP capabilities, but are you going to listen to them, or an honest and unbiased Linux-Apostle like me? Who have you heard from more, really? I mean, Linux is even a cooler name than FreeBSD... and it's free as well! I just don't see the point.
I hope it hits mass media. Maybe when the creators and people interested in it can fund Star War-esque projects and stuff then, we'll see some super cool renditions of the other books, even though the original was the best.

I'll just go get it on my other 4 or 5 P2P programs. And then, once I got KaZaa that way I'll trade again.
Hey, wait, this node goes through Holland...?
