this will probably be studied by the various copyright holders, and used against the populace. They will find all the direct reasons why people hate them, and use that in some more insane marketing strategies and enforcement.
They hurt our education system, forcing teachers to teach mythology as science. They hurt the kids trying to learn, telling them some religious-based crap is equal to the scientific method. They hurt our progress as a nation, causing confusion amongst students who might have been STEM but instead now have doubts that the science is "real", when no other leading country muddies their science classes with completely unproven made-up ideas.
That's a answer we don't know, and might never. The actual "edge" is probably beyond our light cone, which means it's further away than the light can get to us. As for your question below, during the beginning of the universe it expanded faster than light, so the information from the "edge" is beyond our line.
Some theories have our universe is just one of many, along interconnecting "branches" or something. So our spacetime, with it's physical laws, is expanding into the greater multiverse space, along with other universes with other sets of laws of physics. Just like our blood viens resemble tree branches in a fractal way, and how the galaxies connect together in a fractal way, some think the rest of the universe might be the same.
Of course, beyond our universe lies madness, incomprehensible physics our bodies couldn't survive in and our minds can never understand without snapping. You could always take a boat down to a particular island in the South Pacific, if you are allowed to you might find "someone" who can explain the Outerverse to you...in a land of non-Euclid geometry and negative-energy warped spacetime.
Maybe. It depends on how the business receiving the funds is structured. For a sole proprietorship, any money that comes into the business is considered profit, and you and the business are basically the same entity tax-wise. For an LLC, any money left over at the end of the year is considered "profit" and taxed for each partner on an individual level. For a corp (and there are two common types, C and S) then taxes are on net profits, usually on a quarterly or yearly basis. This is just the "income" part, not even touching the sales tax part...which if they are selling an actual physical product is a consideration, as is the "use tax"...and I'm sure there are hundreds of different rulings and other laws there...thus the need for a CPA.
The main idea behind kickstarter et al was to avoid the massive amount of paperwork involved. The government hates people avoiding paperwork, so in the end this idea will probably end up being more complicated than normal investments.
since Boeing showed these 2 years ago, I'm sure the retrofit is ready by now. The Air Force will never give up their backdoor access to space. This picture here is about all I can find...but if they drew out plans like that then the Air Force probably has it built already.
Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh heh - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.
my two direct supervisors are both technical people, so one hide all night doing "reports" on the other side of the building, and the other leaves at 3:30. I don't get there until 2:00, and he's usually off smokin n joken with other "managers".
Out of the 11 other bosses I have, only 7 of them are in the same town, and 6 of them are at least semi-technical.
Non technical - as long as their competent at their job that's great. The smartest geniuses ever can still be incompetent at social skills...
Ah...yeah...and I'm betting your, probably around 18-25 now? There are these things called "hormones", and during teenage developmental years these chemicals can cause people to make, ah, unwise decisions. Even when a teen "knows better", often they don't really understand "why its wrong", or don't realize just how horrible the "consequences" can be if they are caught doing whatever. Often they won't even be held responsible...instead the parents are. And some kids are just pure evil on the net, bullying others to the point of suicide...it would have been far better for their parents to have been monitoring them and might have stopped such things instead of claiming "facebook was hacked! my kid would never..." because they had no idea what was going on.
at my work, VNC wouldn't ever actually connect through all their firewalls. The window would open, but the3 actual connect would time out. Teamviewer went right through without any issues.. It was entertaining trying to use it while driving (being driven, I wasn't actually driving while attempting a remote session lol), and it would drop every time I switched towers...but I'm assuming that's due to loosing the encrypted tunnel.
You must be reading a different article..."who was not present when his bag was opened"..."When his baggage arrived in Boston, the instruments were gone". Pretty clear he was NOT there, and didn't find out until he got into Boston and opened up the bag!
lol..."Warning: Robot is designed with Annoyance Code; randomly determined amount of work can be assigned before robot will become 'fed up with stupid humans' and may attempt to 'kill all the humans'. Use at your own risk."
activesync is crap, unless you get some mdm clients...at least on a corp level. For the past 5-6 months, two of my customers (huge multi-country megacorps) have seen a sharp uptick in AD lockouts. It seems Apples AS protocal implementation doesn't play well with Exchange / AD.
"harming the country"...along the same lines of harming a child molester by turning them in...he's only harming the security apparatus...said security apparatus already caused massive harm, they just kept it covered up until now.
The "reason" is because religion is mostly a response to our "third man" perception. When we're put into a survival situation that we consciously think all lost (like Ernest Shackleton lost in the snow) we often think here is "someone else" there helping us...in reality it is our subconscious survival instinct rising up "to the occasion" and forcefully taking over parts of the conscious trying to keep itself alive. We attribute it to some otherworldly divine force because it seems outside of "us" and "alien"...but it's really just the more primitive parts of our minds kicking in because the "consciousness" that is "me" obviously can't deal with whatever is going on.
Seeing as this "entity" can be "brought out" using specific electrical impulses to the human brain, it's all nothing more than a "mindgame" to keep us alive. Since we humans see patterns in everything, and since this is a "shared experience" we have just said "oh, that's God!" when it's only our brain. And since we have evolved to be social and cooperative, we also assumed that this "outside" force is as well.
It's not that the NSA can't connect the dots...they can and do, they just can't tell anyone most of the time because they broke the law to do so and whatever they discovered isn't valuable enough for amnesty.
And something tells me that the US will soon loose control over the net because of this...along with billions of dollars as companies abandon US companies, throw our hardware away, and will refuse to have it inside their country...and the biggest reason is the fact the NSA has been shown to spy on other countries and then use that information for the US's financial advantage.
In fact, I'll bet that soon having said equipment will cause the companies insurance rates to rise to compensate for the known security holes contained within, and the fact that it is fiduciary unsound to use equipment that has been shown to allow competitors to spy on said financial dealings. This coming blowback will hurt the US far more than the NSA's collection of text messages ever will. When Cisco, Dell, MS, etc find their contracts not renewed because of non-trustworthy and knowingly exploited holes that they purposely put in there...even though we all knew they had been like that for a long time until now a CFO could just write it off as some "conspiracy theory". Now there could easily be shareholder lawsuits when some NSA spy turns over SAP's future software roadmap they grabbed to Microsoft, because they can prove SAP should have known better and where not being fiduciarily responsible.
nah, we would just bomb the EU into submission, or do something stupid like ban / embargo stuff.

We forgive you. Please report to the nearest Combustion chamber for summary execution, and have a wonderful day!
I'm hoping that they make it into an air-borne virus!

the most amusing fact is that he developed some back-up system that gave him access to all of this, AND THE NSA IS STILL USING IT.
it is pretty weird, isn't it? I've never seen postings like these before...maybe someone at the NSA has decided to get on here and post all of this...
Hey Slashdot admins, any chance you'd tell us some IP's of these ACs? I bet most of them come from the Ft. Mead or Utah area...
copy and paste much? You just posted the exact same statement 18 minutes ago.

It's not that he revealed anything, it's he provided the hard proof of what we all knew was happening.
