Is it possible that systems other than the actual front-end voting system can be exploited? For example, what is limiting someone from placing multiple votes? (In Canada we are identified with a Social Insurance Number that is used to verify voting eligibility. I'm sure Americans have a similar personal identification structure)
In this case, how secure is the database that houses all of these numbers.
If someone was able to exploit this back-end system, could they not in theory have an unlimited number of votes?
It's been said time and time again "Just because you do not like the message does not mean you have the right to silence the messenger. I wish all governments would understand that and allow honest discourse about all subjects."
But indeed, how young is too young? I'm hoping it's obvious that to a community such as/. that naked 7-year-olds is wrong! Please don't forget that everyone has basic human rights that should be upheld, and I hope that those rights will always come before free speech.
I too am in a similar position and have debated the question of science vs. engineering for sometime now. After talking with friends who are currently undertaking post-secondary education, I came to the conclusion of majoring in computer science. This decision stemmed from my own person preference to have a more specified field of study, rather than that of the duality of computer engineering (both hardware and software aspects). In any event I encourage all who are in a similar situation to make an informed decision and research heavily into your prospective college or university and the programs the offer.
Since we're on the topic might as well consider Windows under GPL. (hehe I know its not an original idea, but its my first post and needed something kewl to say)

Just my $0.02
if the same study was performed on a win32 desktop.
COMPUTING CLUSTER at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City contains 560 Pentium III microprocessors.
Rest in peace.

Actually it says 1 bytes in body. I'm a little concerned about the grammar. Perhaps the captain and the mysterious Cats finally got to /.

Dwarf-Goatman, Dwarf-Goatman, does whatever a Nigerian Dwarf-Goatman can.
Just more propaganda to perpetuate the myth that was the moon landing. Kudos to Hollywood for keeping the fable alive
