I understand why Apple would want to have these themes taken off, but to say that you shouldn't "copy" because someone put hours into producing it is ludicrous. The point of doing research is to produce results that make further results in the future easier to handle. Some people like Apple's results on the interface, and therefore would like to add those results to there own ingenuity. Why isn't Microsoft getting rid of the windows themes?
Yes, we would all like to see NASA doing amazing things, but you forget who runs NASA... Congress. NASA is constantly worried about funding, and if the majority of society doesn't want them to go to space anymore, then it would become a big problem for NASA. They must give something to society, now, since most stuff they develop or theorize now won't hit the market for about 10 years. I think the helmet cams are an awesome idea, it makes me and other people enjoy what NASA is doing. You should consider becoming a part of their community outreach programs, like answering questions over email from kids and what not.
