The AC is right. Comment counts used to be the high hundreds, commonly over 1000. I've been reading this site for around 10 years, commenting for a couple, and the readership has defiantly fallen. No one I know follows Slashdot other than myself, and I'm checking it less and less.
It does exist and has for some time. There was a test a few years where they transmitted wireless energy from one Hawaiian island to another. It just terribly inefficient.
I can drive up the road and buy a tank of H2 in just a few mins. Trucks refill liquid propane for houses around here all the time as as there is no natural gas service. H2 wouldn't have to that different. Much better than the few hours it would take for a portable battery pack of generator to charge a battery.
Eh, maybe. The Slashdot user base had really dropped over the last few years and few influential tech people hang here anymore. I don't really see us as a worthy demographic for paid shills.
There might be a few, but it's nothing like it was in even 5 years ago.
I did that for a while, the I gave up video games too. Now I don't watch movies, tv or play video games. Started reading and woodworking. Feels pretty good.
Definitely. Autocorrect from my phone.

They don't care about the islands, they care about the water around them. They are abundant in fish and oil/natural gas.
Everyone pays taxes, income or not. Buy something? Sales tax. Pay utility bills? Taxed. Buy gas? Taxed.
You could potentially refill the H2 on the side of the road, just like gasoline. Not so with a battery
A browser shouldn't need extensions to be useful.

Most large propane tanks are rented, so if they are there, they probably have fuel in them.
I have no problem with it on OSX.
I have no problem using it, I just can't stand it.
With lead acid, you recycle. Lead acid car batteries have ~98% recycle rate.

Unity is the Linux equivalent of Metro. It doesn't look like it, but it does suck like it.
Anonymous is the equivalent of the drunk hobo spouting bible verses on the corner. I ignore both just the same.
No it's about theft. The passwords are company property and he isn't entitled to them.
The passwords are like keys to a company car. They are company property.
Terry Childs didn't have the right to decide who got the passwords and who didn't. He was no longer an employee.
I make pretty good money in medicine.
I live with my girlfriend. She is a professional musician so she spends 1/2 her day practicing. That probably pushed me towards things I can do solo.
I have friends, we meet up most weekends at the bar or to go camping/hiking.

It's a problem by google. The options are there but google disabled them.
There is no "we the people". There are as many opinions about what direction to go as there are people. FOSS is not a singular voice.
The only people I hear saying that is people who jokingly post in in Slashdot. If you would shut up it help it disappear.
