It's a high end server equipped with a safety device that sparys the interior with impact absorbing foam in the event of a crash. German safety engineering, of course.
Only problem is, the poor bastards tried to run MS Windows on it.

The one algorithm of all time that I remember most fondly has got to be the Infocom parser. At the tender age of 14 I spend countless of hours trying to duplicate it in early BASIC. This, in retrospect, might not have been such a great idea...

one problem with skip lists is that each node must be dynamically resizable because the number of forward pointers is changing and not known at compile-time
For a really long skip list you should consider using a skip list to store the forward pointers.

I've been looking for a computer I could use in my bath tub. I would probably save something on water heating costs, too.
The girls will love it.

Without it Slashdot would not exist.
Although, if the binary is in a bomb, you may also need to distribute the source to the poor sod that you drop it on.
Who wants code that bombs on you, anyway?
Just think about that and think about people like us who do this for fun...
Me, I'm just glad you didn't go for genetics or molecular biology. *shudder*

Still wondering why Linux hasn't taken over the world yet?
The world is like an eager virgin, waiting for Linux to take over. Sad thing is the geeks haven't noticed and probably wouldn't care.
