I have not given up my e-mail address to Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft (yet?).
I run Thunderbird on a number of platforms, and I like the fact that it gives me an alternative to the dominant platforms of the day (always struck me as one of the goals of the Mozilla project).
Let's hope Thurnderbird fares well in this latest round of Mozilla trying to separate from it...
