    I think it is a great idea to use the PS2 as missle guidence systems. They are compact, powerfull, light weight, have small power consumption, inexpensive, and they analize graphics/polygons faster then almost anything else close to its price range/availibiliy. They are perfect!

    If you want him to expore cutting edge technology and be exposed to the technology and ideas he will make a differance at, give him supervised access to the Internet and tell him to find what interesting. He will learn vary quickly how to look for topics ont he Internet that intrest him and asked to do so, will find projects that can help mankind.

    P.S. I would suggest genetics to him.

    You are forgetting who developed all of the technology to send the satalite into orbit and actually take the pictures. The government did for the tax payers.

    Why would you see a person? In one "meter" images, one meter by one meter is represented by *one pixel*.

    The only countries that don't have regulations on satilite imagery don't have the infastructure or technology to send a satilite into orbit. The componies also wouldn't have the ability to "borrow" the technology from NASA since the government would be strongly against it and if the company took pictures of the US, either the CIA or NSA would shut them down due to National Security concerns.
