The "majority of U.S. corporations:" (90+%) have less than 50 employees and, as such, aren't required to furnish health care and aren't affected by this decision.
I've been using Ascendo DataVault since my Blackberry days. I needed something that would cross platform with Blackberry & Windows and that was it at the time. They have since added IOS and Android to the mix. The database is resident only on your devices and can be synced between them. It may not be the best or the cheapest out there, but it works.
I use it for logins, credit card account data, inventory and just about any small stuff that I don't want to leave out in the clear.
With most of them, outside of the big distributor cables, underground it is also nicer looking as there are no more power lines.
True, but underground cables are significantly harder to locate and repair a fault (and they DO have problems) than aerial lines. No free lunches. Take your pick - aerial lines that are subject to frequent damage, but are relatively quick and easy to locate and repair or an underground lines that aren't subject to as many problems, but take a lot longer to find and repair. Not to mention the hole in the middle of your lawn that they had to dig big enough to get a man down there to work.
...the best progression we've ever had from raw capitalism - the balanced social democracies emerging in '50s and '60s Europe - were destroyed by the neoconservative project's battle commencing in the '70s...
That, and the assorted governments running out of cash to fund the programs.
Is great, as long as one is in an area that provides sufficient bandwidth. For those of us who tend to travel out beyond the fringes of urban areas, streaming is a non-starter.
