Yeah, it seemed that the last Blitz had to remove all of the fun stuff to make it fit with what the NFL wanted.

I don't care about playing as Troy Aikman circa 1993 or wearing a Green Bay uniform, so I welcome having a fun and funny alternative.

If nothing else, it's nice to tell EA to stuff it and spend my $50 elsewhere after they got all Microsoft-y on the competition.

Also, the screen shots on IGN looked shiny. I like shiny things...

Midway put out the press release today, giving some official details about the game.

The Blitz announcement aligns perfectly to poo-poo on EA's big ol' NFL contract hoopla, and it sounds more interesting than merely another "watered down NFL sanctioned football games". Ouch!

Have you tried Adobe FrameMaker? I've found it to more stable for the 200+ page docs.

If you're stuck using Word (as I am, because of work stipulations), try using its more advanced features. Read the Help files on Styles. This will keep a lot organized and make the program ship-shape itself a bit better.

I can tell you why I decline the offer to join the Navy writing manuals on their electronics? Even when I'm laid off three times in one year, I still make more than their $30K salary. They'll have to do something more than that to get me to join.

"So you're telling me no more free bottled water, no casual clothes, *and* I have to travel?"

Blah blah blah. What you did was cool :) As a business person, you offered your company a low-cost solution that brought some benefit to you. What they would have paid for development alone would probably cost more than paying you $10 a pop. Good job :)
