the problem is "aggresssive growth".. "IPOs are SPECULATIVE in nature..." Some posted earlier that if they hadn't said that their reasons were "specualtive" they wouldn't have got the IPO, and this seems consistent with the above quoted warning.
ADSL works the same way... The data is sent on different frequencies that the data... With my ADSL, I simply have a filter that goes before my phone that filters out the data frequencies. Though, I don't know if it would technically still be "broadband".
Actually, the telcos over here have a hard time making profit from local calls. They most of it off of long distance.

Strangely, where I am to (in Canada) the movie was rated 14-a (similar to PG-13 in the US, except you need to be fourteen). I guess the theatres is really strapped for cash, so they're just going to let everyone they can in...
but the intellectual property issues are going to be problematic. Heh. Unfortunately in the world we live in, lawyers determine a lot of what happens.
If slashdot is GPL'ed, it shouldn't really matter who owns the copyrights in the end, does it?

f he did, he would be very into closed source. Not that i care that much, but it sucks when you put all of your time and $$$ into R&D then release something as GPL and another company picks it up and sells it for a lower price... Your R&D cash is wasted and you make no profit because someone else is selling your product for USD$1.50.
I personally dont think RMS cares much about businesses and their GPL'ing of software.. As he says, the GNU project wants to create their own FREE replacements, not to try and convince the rest of the world that we should all give everything away for free and be poor...

I find it funny how just matter-of-factly say, "All Roms on the Internet are illegal" Yes, 99.9% ARE, but what if someone made an original rom or something, like some of the demos I've seen. They are not illegal...
As far as I'm concerned, they pretty well already do. I've noticed times when I've searched for things like "guitars", "pickups", "amps" etc. I get ads related to these subjects. Samething on dejanews. I'm willing to bet more than these search engines do this sort of thing.
