I have been using "e" from Dr14 on, Even when trapped in WIN32 hell, I emulated the Look and feel of "E" under Litestep.(even thought there was a win32 port E-Seance) DR17 is really really fast. And very impressive. If you do a CVS build and give it a honest go, I think you will find that it is much faster than your current windows manager. Even runing evas_test app shows you the differance in rendering technics. I am very Impressed with the latest offerings from the E team, But I agree that new logo blows!
Okay okay, Enough about the technology being exchanged, From the sounds of the article, we as stock holders will get screwed? If Be is only selling its technology, whats to happen to the stock? As owner of both beos and palm stock, I am way confused here. Could someone with knowledge about such things please post?
So if games such as doom, quake, unreal, and halflife. are responsible for such acts, when can we expect to see news reports of girls/guys going mad at school and rewall papering the classrooms (ala SIMS) It seems to me nobody wants to look at the underlying issues. Its hard to be a teen... It allways has been and it allways will. The times are just different. This wont stop, it will get worse and worse. Kids are now starting to see that hey, If I go nuts and blow away a few ppl on my list, I will make the news and my point will be heard. We have sent them the wrong message. We should of started weeding out Bullies in the school system, they are not that hard to idenify. But instead we feel we have to attack something. Why not games.
I have played with Nautilus all day yesterday, and a good part of this morning, after reading some reviews, I am not to sure Nautilus is a good thing. I think alot of its Ideas are golden, but one seems to bother me 100%, "snip" The Eazel icons can represent files in intelligent ways, including making calls out to the Web,"/snip" Is this something that can be missused? Is it wise to add this type of "dumb" functionality to a other wise very smart OS? I think eazel is moving in the right direction, for a more user friendly system. I myself will wait on E17 and EFM
