The level of complexity to building a wall is absolutely minuscule compared to writing code. If you ask a mathematician to solve a complex mathematical problem and you pay them by the hour... are you going to expect them to correct the minor flaws in their near complete solution? I certainly dont think so. Mucking up a wall is such an obvious mistake that you can only do it if you are a complete imbecile and thus it is only right that you fix it on your own dime and time.

They do seem to gain quite a bit of traction in the world of finance and law and to a lesser extent other areas.
Mitochondria are the energy factories of cells.
They could indirectly negatively affect any other part of the body if the mDNA is damaged. Likewise a coding for higher energy efficiency in neuronal mitochondria could result in better neural operation, resulting in higher intelligence. But then it would be likely that the same person would have better energy efficiency in all cells. Perhaps higher metabolism overall etc. (intelligent skinny people?). (intelligent skinny jews?). Its possible.
