    I remember when someone wanted guidance counselors to to go over what the student wanted to major in, and what their career prospects and potential earnings would be. There was a big outcry from people upset that nobody would want to major in "studies" classes if they knew that they wouldn't be getting any good jobs.

    I don't think you understand. If I were to put a drain in the side of a wall, I would be an idiot, but had I gone to art school first, then it would wind up in the Carnegie Museum of Art (yes, this was art)

  8. It's the difference between a physical and non physical item. A passphrase isn't physical, and is protected, your finger print was probably already taken when they brought you in.

  10. This is actually a good question. Just like when I have to type in my favorite book or street I grew up on to get into my bank account, my answers are rarely the actual answers to the question. So what if you used a different part of the body? Will the scanners pick up if you used a section of your palm? What about toes? Noses? Can I use my weiner?

    Couldn't you also set up a sock puppet account to use to keep your anonymous fan page updated? You don't have to friend people or put any actual info in your account, just use it to update your hacking/revolution/secret society/terrorisim network/whistleblower/whatever page.

    In that case, there is absolutely no private data anywhere since someone can always screen shot it or copy and paste something. But you are right, in most cases, private relies on other people not being dicks.

    It's a third party that the person with the private feed didn't authorize, reading their tweets.

    Also whether or not they retain the information, and what they do with it if they do.

    not all twitter feeds are "public", and this would scrape data from any feeds that you have access to.

    It's a localized monopoly. They are competing monopolies that have agreed not to actually compete with each other, only offering service within their turf. THis will make it a less local, and more national monopoly
