Last year I finally had the opportunity to fire the office "Open Source Zealot" - the guy who wasted everyone's time complaining
how "Outlook is insecure" and "I only use Linux on my notebook computer".
That was me you jerk!
Just kidding...but I bet he is hiding around here somewhere....=)
FF7 and 8 aren't the only Finaly Fantasy games out there...(obviously)..each game doesn't relate to it's previous one...why should the movie relate to any of the games?
What are you talking about and how is this MS bashing? How did you get moderated up to +4 Informative?? From what I can tell, it's a GPL'ed webserver that MS modified to use IPv6.....it's rather interesting...how's it MS bashing again?
Seems like anyone who bashes the integrity of the/. editors these days gets moderated up...bah
with BitchX for windows though it seems to have the odd problem of suspending when it's not the foreground application...so if you go do something else for a given amount of time then poof...you get disconnected. VisualIRC was a good contender for mIRC though...don't think/know if it's being developed anymore though..who cares when you have BitchX on FreeBSD though huh? =)
While your point may be true, it has nothing to do with that fact that the transport for this system uses XML. If you think that them using XML in any way affects this then you really don't understand what XML is. It's not "another HTML" as many seem to think.
Though I've never used it, I'd bet that Back Office shows up in at *least* the add/remove programs list, or the start menu. I don't mean you know know if/when it's running. I mean you don't even know it's installed (unless you run a virus scanner..).
Sure, the functionality it provides IS useful, but you can't call a program which DELIBERATLY hides itself from users a "legit admin tool". It's a trojan, and it was meant to be a trojan.
The Palm is simple and elegant if you don't have to program it, if you stick to its standard applications, and if you are happy with exactly the kind of screen and UI it gives you. If you go beyond its basic four functions, it become increasingly messy and limited.
Umm...I don't own a Palm so I may be confused, but I remember reading and even seeing in several places LOTS of software (free and open-source no less) for the Palm...someone help me out with a url here...

I think he was saying it's good to make Microsoft lose money on the console...put linux on it and never buy games from them so they never get their money back....That seemed implied to me...maybe just my interpetation of it though....

it didn't/doesn't live up to the hype
Does anything EVER live up to the 'hype'? Isn't that why it's called hype in the first place.
"no, I won't be going to any websites with malicious HTML code, and I don't use Outlook Express for email, so I don't need to". She's not computer illiterate either.

Are you stupid?
1050? Lord it took a long time for them to make it into the home.... (yes..I know it was a typo)

I'd go after the Carriers and/or Archons myself...they do more damage.
I hate Windows as much as the next guy here on /. But NTFS is journaling. Get your facts straight.

You asked this once didn't you? Come on...admit it.

I read the article. Where does the author imply megabyte?
He's saying USB 2.0 is good for Intel. Firewire is bad for them.
What was your incentive for getting a GeForce2 GTS II with 64megs of ram?

She's not? =)
This is hilarious. Mod this up!
Are you saying you don't want them caught or are you saying online is the real world?
