True. However they can usually at least get power for the towers, even if it is just a gas generator, especially if there is money to be made. However most of the residents can't afford to have electricity run to their homes.
One use they don't bring up that they should is being able to use cell phones where there isn't any electricity to charge them. In a lot of the poorer countries they are going straight to cell phones and skipping laying copper. The lack of electricity to charge the phones has been one of the stumbling blocks for getting phone service to some really remote areas.
All this does is decode the MP3 and record it onto the minidisc, so you get the native capacity of a minidisc. You can get either 74 or 80 minute mindiscs, but the 80s are kinda expensive.
I don't see the big deal about this, I already do this a lot. I just use xmms and record the MP3s onto my MD. $2 for 74mins for a MD versus $100 for another $64MB memory for a Rio? You make the call.
Widelinks doesn't completely disable symlinks only links out of the designated samba share. So with widelinks=no you can still link within the share. So just testing whether it is a symlink isn't a possibility.

This is one of the features I actually miss from
:-)
Solaris while using Linux. So who wants to port
this feature into Linux?
Guess, I'll have to do it then.
I've noticed that when my microwave is on, my
WaveLan latency goes way up. I guess I have
a nice 2.4Gz microwave.
