so now, healthy people eat more carbon laden calories than (obese) car drivers? you don't have to eat more to exercise moderate amounts. i work with some fat lazy guys (we all do), they eat more than me and never get any exercise. and if we were to continue to generalize badly, the athletic eater /generally/ has a more wholesome diet, easier to sustain.

it's my recollection that this was just offering an alternative to what amazon was already doing. if there is more than one outlet, then one outlet can't fix prices. am i foggy about amazon already being there?

idiotic comments.... if you want music without copyright, then get a tuba and play. the loaf of bread is BY someone. the music is the product of someone's work. some people can't comprehend this since they think anything they see someone else work on they deserve for free. inane.

  8. in general on ADA May Force Netflix To Provide Closed Captioning On Content · · Score: 1
i think this well-meaning law is really counter productive in many cases.

for instance: when we have to spend 80% more on public busses so 5% people can get on them more easily... i see it as defunding the majority of citizens. of course there is value in that a lot of the time -- within reason.

but when bus lines can't be provided because they can't afford the bus for the 5% of *potential* users... who is getting served?

and when nobody can see a movie because 1% of the people can't fully enjoy it... seems wrong-headed.
