    avg cost of system: 25-35k.
    assume 35k.
    Most folks can get between 25 and 50% of cost offset somehow.
    assume 25%
    now 26.5k.
    23 years = 276 mos.
    26.5k / 276 = ~96.

    I reckon if your panels can't save 100$ a month on your electricity bill, you're doing something wrong.
    probably in your math since you only seem to be counting money you make back, and not money saved from not buying electricity.
    or you don't use much juice to start with, and bought too big a system.

    The states of Oklahoma, Kansas are both perpetually hovering above bankruptcy because of the tax cuts and credits given to the oil industry (among the other stupid failed red state experiments).

    In Oklahoma in particular, the amount of cuts almost exactly match the annual budget hole that they have to fill every year, because they flat out refuse to rescind the cuts/credits. It amounts to over 600 million a year. That aint "next to nothing" you ignorant loon.

    PS: PBS/NPR aren't public funded in the first place.
    It's a mix of private and public, with the overwhelming majority being privately sourced, either from donations or from operating within the marketplace.

    once again I have to remind you that the bible compels both jews and Christians to ALSO use violence if necessary to spread their word.
    someone who's actually read both the bible and the quran (something you should try sometime) actually tallied it up.

    so they consider it to be failing because people aren't buying new ones every year like their phones?

    how did they not know this would happen?

    in usage the ipad is more like a small form factor laptop. for a large segment of the populace its almost replaced their laptop, and like most folks, they don't replace their laptops frequently because the tech there isn't advancing that rapidly. if your laptpop and ipad both continue to do the job today that you bought them for 2-3 years ago, unlike phones which are still advancing at a meaningful rate each year. plus the phone market operates totally differently with free upgrades and other incentives that change the mental mode used to evaluate the need/desire to get the more recent model.
