    they don't own up because they know that most people would like to kick em in the teeth.

    a interesting scene went down a few years ago at the ivanhoe hotel pub, an old-school (1910) beer parlour in vancouver bc.

    some bonehead was dissing a native woman who worked there. a hells angel quietly got up and left... to return shortly with his crew which proceeded to kick the shit out of asshole and friends.

    dislike of boneheads cuts a wide swath through society, and they are more aware of this than anyone.

    umm... i track sid (unstable) on 4 boxes (since mid-december) and # apt-get update&&apt-get upgrade obsessive/compulsively (at least once per day) and have yet to see anything break.

    definitely a degree of uncertainty though with the knowledge that any weirdness could be either fucked configuration or a broken package.

    yeah. castle wolfenstein, zork 1-3, adventure, lode runner, wizardry, sublogic's flight simulator. ultima iii? alright, but ultima ii kicked ass. super fast- and what about ultima 1 and akalabeth (from the seventies!!)- all written by lord british. wizardy iii (don't remember the scenario name) incorporated windows technology on a 2mhz, 64k ram, 143k floppy drive box. pretty cool even if it was super-slow. choplifter went from a pc game to an arcade standup console.
