Or better still .. just mute any sound in the background. Of course you'd need an option to turn it off, because there are almost certainly some people who youtube songs in tabs and run them while working in other tabs, but my gut tells me that these people would be in a minority.

We may not be commonly beating each other with swords anymore, but we're certainly throwing the words around. What would an understanding peace loving accepting race of intergalactic beings think of us? Not much, I can almost guarantee that. It's a sad state of affairs particularly within the context of this site which is supposedly filled with the edumacated scientisty types of the world.

We sit around arguing on message boards about how horrible the Saudis are. In the meantime, we're destroying our planet whilst supporting a hierachically structured system that enslaves our own brothers and commits genocidal war, all the while convinced of how "free" we are. There's not 1 out of 1000 people on this planet that even understand what "free" is, yet it's bandied about as rhetoric everywhere.

The senseless ignorance and brutality isn't in the actions of a small minority on the other side of the world, it's the mental modality of 99% of the population.

I like you attitude. We need more people thinking *just* like you.

Welcome to the team. We're building a clubhouse in San Diego, next door to the BEST fatty burger joint in town.

We'll soon be organising a crowd buy of massive Chinese manufactured flat screen TV sets with satellite uplinks .. good for over 150 channels with no on-going fees! Up to 50% of the channels are eastern European with scantily clad big breasted ladies and voice overs nobody can understand.

We're currently negotiating with GM to get a bulk discount on the new 3.5 tonne Chrysler truck. It can apparently carry 2 tonnes in the tray, so if we ever have a group outing we only need to take a third of our vehicles! But with on-line so easy these days, we're also negotiating for some wide angle 1080p web cams and laptops with extra fat rigid keys.

Is picking someone up at the airport an indictable offense?

    Depends upon the following:
    - The speed at which you approach
    - Where you park
    - Whom the person is
    - What your intent is
    - What you're carrying in the boot of your car
    - Whether your car is correctly registered and insured
    - Whether the NSA has you, your grandmother, your housemate or your neighbour on a watch list
But apart from that, land of the free .. home of the brave.

If you're going to try to get rid of artificial fertilizers, shouldn't you be ensuring that your solution is sustainable? Creating and distributing large quantities of bacteria with unknown long term effects is not a known quantity and hence .. is not a sustainable solution.

May as well keep spraying artificial fertilizers, at least we know how that degrades the soil.
