I won't pretend to know exactly how Wikipedia load is distributed, but I'm guessing they have a non-trivial amount of updates, and surely their database isn't small. Sure you can cache everything, but that only solves the static pages served to viewing-only users.
And if only VISA level is serious, the world must be totally fucking hilarious to you!
Is there any standard for this type of device? Shouldn't there be one?
Like, a standard for remote control via wifi and bluetooth. A standard for streaming from other devices. A standard on the types of medias to be supported.
Is that feasible or even possible, given that this is basically a collection of standards?
I've been wishing for something like this for months now.
Everybody just says "Raspberry Pi FTW!", but I don't want a tinkering ultra-small device. I want a board with standard size, standard ports and slots, and a ARM processor.
(In other words: I want a goddamn SATA port with my Pi!)
Why is that so hard? Or why is that so commercially inviable? And why there hasn't been a Kickstarter project like this before?
I'm not a hardware/architecture/manufacturer guy, so I have no clue whatsoever.
I don't already have a windows PC. My girlfriend neither. Nor my colleagues. Nor my brother. Nor many of my friends.
Also, most people all know (if not all) who do have a windows machine, got it OEM (no choice) when they bought their notebook, or pirated it.
Your comment could (probably can) be a "encrypted" form of something copyrighted, given the right proportions. Are you infringing copyright?

All versions of Windows since Windows XP are affected! How much code from Windows XP is still used in Windows 8??
then maybe the PS4 won't be so expensive?
Isn't this supposed to be /.?
