As I understand the philosophy of the basic income experiments that came before, the idea is not to pay for everything in modern life. The payments are meant to reduce economic insecurity in an area, which then benefits everybody there. As a side benefit the people as individuals can turn their attention to living a bit better which may then have yet another side benefit in that they act better in and towards their communities.

Your reply comment is one of the most logical I have seen on education. On the other hand, the harvesting of people's potential is one of the evils of the world, and is done in many ways, excessive tuition being one. And yet college is a unique thing for training. Thankfully, alternatives for the acquisition of knowledge and training now exist.

If you take out a cell in a restaurant, or a plane, or in you own space, there is always a contingent wanting to criticize you into submission. Now they've gone to the next level. Who are these people, and, what can be done to convince them that people using cells and gadgets are not second class citizens in need of correction or second class to any proximate person that is feeling particularly entitled. I would hope this lady is paid for her time and damages, she's probably a decent citizen.

I say you are right. I would also add they accept second place willingly. Second place is good enough for their purposes, they only have to have the occasional win so as to keep a place at the table, They are really not interested in government, just the occasional good story - omg the Ds like a good story too - they both and all wish to push us around like farm animals by any means necessary. If they really wanted to win elections they would only have to craft a message that's not contaminated so bad that independents can't tolerate it, not that hard, they are just not interested.

Love your words, I might have written a comment similar to yours on a different day. May I just add that the incompetent business leaders are so lacking in ability they can only imagine getting their positive returns from the low-hanging rotten fruit of exploitation and extortion of workers and couldn't create a true return or value if their lives depended on it.

Lately observing in the news evidence that a subset of us are watching and waiting for the day when they think they have excuse to shoot/kill someone grievously, it's apparent it's for a for a life-long want. And a subset of that subset chooses victims they think society disapproves of as a method of concealing their true motive. Suggest we discourage this type of thinking.
