The way to get around this is to have continuous upload to both police servers and a independent 3rd party (whatever the police watchdog is in your counrty of choice). Then if the files are required in court, then there is a three way verification process to fall back on to prove the veracity of the evidence in question.
Practicallity wise I don't see this happening, it would be a nightmare to keep this kind of system running. But if the public pressure for 100% verifiable police evidence is strong enough, it could be implemented. But it will be expensive.
Serriously WTF, as a Kiwi (New Zealander) I know that the Southern Ocean is a fairly large body of water....Tasmaina happens to be in said ocean....."of" is really a bit of a stretch.
It is nice that you never use the mouse to launch applications, most people I have worked with don't really know how to "use computers properly", they rely on thnigs like the start menu and mouse interaction....
I have worked with many people over the years that are just shocked at what I can do with a computer, I am much faster and do things that they didn't even know were possible etc...a few years ago I even came across a guy that didn't know any shortcut keys beyond pressing the "start" button on the keyboard when I showed him Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V he was amazed, so just because you know how to "use computers properly" millions of people don't and are confucsed by change
I maintain that Windows 8 is not that bad, but it only lasted 4 days on my new laptop until Linux was instlled. I tried to give it a week but it was just annoying using a touch focused OS on a non-touch device.
I'm in the exact same situation, before this I was only aware they were making a documentry. Thanks to this great advertisement, I have now downloaded this doco and will take time this weekend to watch it....bravo
if you are going to do that get rid of the little "o" and stick with just "Open Office" as the name of the product. I always thought having the ".org" as part of the name of the product sounded terrible. I always just called it "Open Office" or OO.
Birds would tend to disagree with you on that one, most birds will walk a short distance rather then fly as the energy cost to get into the air is high.....but once up the energy to stay up is relativly low.
This is why you see the little sparrow hopping 2m to get a snack but flying 20m. But I totally agree for heavy transport, without some awesome gravity control it will never be energitically cheaper to lift truck or train quantity into the air. But relativly smally personal transport will come down to distance.
