Everyone seems to be glossing over the main reason for kernel recompiles: it's just plain fun. Something about messing with the brain of yer OS is cool. Not to mention, you can brag to your friends about have a shiny new kernel.
old news. by compiling mod_chaos into apache 1.3.x, I have been able to access the Hubble telescope command set (via secure port IRDA access) and snap some wonderful shots of the microsoft executive female restroom.
Darth Sidious? Sounds a little Darth Sillious to me. Oh well. I wonder when the ol' Emperor makes his appearance? Hell, I wonder when the Empire first gets mentioned.
