This *should* state port 4444 where the trojan lives.
*reality* if you don't NEED a port open, don't open it.
A while back I ran the distributed.net client on a number of machines. I noticed the machines that ran the client suffered significantly more hardware failures than the machines that were not running it. I removed the client from all machines and noticed the relibility of those machines increased.
Has anyone else seen similar? Have their been any studies on this?
I was very disappointed in the event. If you were interested in any of the speaking tracks it would have been worthwhile, however I didn't have a need for most of presentations.
There were more people there working Saturday afternoon than there were people in attendance.
This was only the first one so hopefully the shows will come around.

Perl: The Complete Reference is a very good and easy to read and understand perl book. Its somewhat old but still a great book.
So do we get to embrace and extend this into something useful instead of the usual vice versa?
