Why do you think arcade games aren't as popular anymore? I remember when I spent over $10 to beat a game. If I tried that now, I'd lose a fortune.

No school or teacher is my surrogate parent and should not have any control over me. The only thing that public schools taught me was to ignore what they teach and learn on my own.

The reason that the government doesn't encourage home schooling is because the teachers don't have the chance to indoctrinate the students. It is also a way for the government to grow and be a bigger part of our lives. Also, he schools get money for each kid going to their school. They won't recommend home schooling because it takes money out of their pockets. It is in the best interest of everyone (but the students) to keep public schools running.

I did not break in to any place or take any physical object from anyone. If you steal a Ferrari, the owner is then deprived of his property. If I download a song, the musician doesn't lose that song. Downloading mp3's also allows me to find out if I like the musician. If I buy the cd, I'm screwed. (and this has happened to me) Also, the music companies don't want me to buy used cd's because they don't make any profit off of it. Should this be illegal also?

  5. Re:Your both right.. and both wrong on Clock Ticking For Australian PlayStation Chippers · · Score: 1

I don't have enough money (because I go to college) to go out and buy every cd that I like a song on. If I had the money to waste on buying all the cd's I like, I would in a heartbeat. This leaves only 2 options: listen to the radio, or download mp3's. The radio doesn't play the exact song I want, when I want to hear it; therefore I download the mp3 and save my money and buy cd's ever so often (usually in the used section). Does this make me a criminal because I don't do what the big music companies want me to do?

Here in Colorado, we have a law called the "Make My Day" law. Basically it says that you can use any force, including lethal force if someone is breaking into your home without getting in trouble with the law. A couple of weeks ago, a 70 year old woman in Colorado Springs killed an intruder (who was carrying a gun). It later turned out that this guy was a rapist and murderer. If it was illegal for her to have a gun, how would she have been able to defend herself?

The police never abuse their power??? Apparently you have never been held overnight in jail because of a traffic violation that was later dropped. Of course all police are kind and caring, especially to the people that are in jail, how could I forget?

Police/Government censor people by harrasing and arresting people that don't follow their orders and act as blind sheep. The government is slowly chipping away our rights. Look at the attacks on the 2nd Amendment, this attack on the 1st Amendment, etc. Of course, they have already done away with the 10th Amendment...
