    i should better explain my suspisions. they were more along the lines of how microsoft would decide for us what was going to be standard for us; piggy-backing on to the TV's standard makes for a good way for the comouter to connect to the TV & who's in the position to get data back to the mfg. (and eventualy marketing divisions)?? microsoft.

    well if you can come up with a legit enough reason for having napster running, how could they prevent you from running? if i'm not mistaken, that's been an argument used in court (although you're on your own searching for the cases). if something is being used unlawfully but also has lawful uses, legally alot of blame is lifted. right, on to the point. have all the bands in school get tapes to you & post them on napster (go to the music department and post the school band too...now the music department becomes your freind). now you have a reason to be online running napster...promoting school interests. hell, post the morning anouncements for the kids sick at home. if you get someone to come and speak, ask them how they'd feel about their talk being posted. now you have given them an argument against anyone who raises an objection to letting you run napster.
