I have been searching for a good GUI mail client in a while and I then discovered Evolution. It is absolutely amazing, I think it beats Outlook with several lengths.
The interface is pretty, any user with just a little mouse experience could use it, heck, even my dad!
I think that the open source world is becoming mature now and that we in the future can expect some really good applications.
Actually now, the 3 (Mozilla, PAN, Evolution) main programs I use is open source and I think they are better than their closed sourced opponents.
For about a year ago the AntiPiratGruppen visited a LAN party in Denmark and busted them.
They had some insiders to the party and they were connecting to some ftps and taking screenshots as evidence.
When APG then came they headed to the people who were running these ftps and took their machinery. Some from the crew got busted too and this incident has caused the organizers of danish LAN parties to be extreme aware of this issue, because the organizers had to pay a lot of money to APG because it was on their network that the pirating was happening on.
They are trying to scare the "small" pirates, but IMO it's the wrong people they are after.
If your legal name from birth conflicts with a companies name, I think it should be left to "first come, first served" reasoning. I don't think that either has more right to the domain name than the other. Whoever got it first should be able to keep it, unless the sole purpose that the person who has it has it, is to exploit the name. By that I mean if your name is Nissan and you get the domain name, and then you decide to start selling cars, or car accessories to profit off of the name that is usually associated with another company, that should not be allowed. If on the other hand your name is Nissan and you have a site that shows pictures of your wife, kids, and your dog, then that should be perfectly legal.
I see your point, but this is not what the.com-hierarchi is intented for. It should be for companies and for commercial use only!
If I want a personal domain with a homepage on, why should I then use.com?! I am for heavens sake not something commercial.
And why do americans tend to think that.com is for them, only? Use the friggin.us.
In Mozilla you can deny webpages to open unrequested windows. Go to: Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Scripts & Windows -> Uncheck "Open unrequested windows". That is a very nifty feature, I love it!:)
Is it possible to add evil bits to duplicate posts on /.? :)
