I would think that most encounters would take place at work. As popular as instant messaging is, I believe most people would try to hide an online relationship from their s.o. by limiting most of the interaction to times when they are not around said s.o.
Forget about 3.5" disks. Bring back 5.25"!! Think about how much more we can store on that old real estate!! Or the Tandy tape-drive! There are many more better options of older technology to revive than the boring 3.5" disk...
It's not the really the OS that gets in the way of the applications but all the "extras" that are included with it. WinXX is perfect at providing a fuzzy bloated feeling. Give me the good ol' days of DOS. I don't remember seeing the extra feature BSOD back then...
I forsee a sudden flooding of the US Patent Offices with people registering all other emoticons...
