Yes you are old fashioned. Or maybe you just don't get it. Have you seriously not tried google maps yet? Are you blind to the fact that microsoft, google, and mozilla are all pushing for this to happen? The hybridization of the browser is like the holy grail for platform independent software at the moment. If you've ever run an X11 application remotely you've got to have some sort of clue about how powerful this is. Keep your hotmail account, i'll stick with my gmail, cause it's a world of difference.

I've noticed that prevention is more effective than removal. If you can spare it, wipe the systems, implement some decent settings (pre-install all the Active X you use and then block the rest). Or install firefox.

For some reason safe sex seems to pop into my head. Mozilla Firefox: condom for the online world.

Just a quick note on those 2 advisories. One of those bugs is also found in IE. The other is ony on OSX.

Another advantage to firefox is that it alerts you when there are updates. The same can't be said of IE. IE has to rely on Windows Update.

Something seems right to me about the specific piece of software you are using being able to notify you about it's own problems. "Since you seem to use me, why don't you patch me?"
