I came from a family that had $10 a week for groceries. I worked my way through college without a single student loan. I now own a nice-sized business that supports 80 families and provides amazing benefits. It can be done. It is not easy - nor should it be.
Of all of my friends that made it through college with student loans - most are strapped with them their entire lives and actually used the money to party their way through college.
Please define exactly how many people you have personally seen die due to allergic reactions to the flu shot. The flu kills 30,000 to 40,000 people annually. Doing some quick research I am having a problem locating exactly how many people die from an allergic reaction to the vaccine each year, but the worst case is "several". So, doing some quick math, your statistics are off by around a factor of 8,000.
I am not sure if your post was a joke. If so, it is not funny.
Get your flu shot people. At the very least, do your research with credible organizations and make an educated decision, not one based on someone saying that you "don't_need it_".
Finally, a company admitting inferior hardware/software in their planes. Time to get the government involved to NOT limit what passengers can take on, but rather GROUND the airline for flying a safety hazard. They admitted it. Ground them. See how long it takes for them to retract the statement.
As for the distinction between "extension of live" and "prevention of early termination", I am ok with either. Let's eliminate all forms of cancer. Call it what you will, but there is a decent chance that I will live longer.
The question becomes: What technologies ARE acceptable and what age is "too old"?
Actually, he has. Extensively. Please browse any of his websites. There are many scientific discussions addressing this very topic.
My personal counter to your rather far-reaching question is "what's your cutoff?" We extend life each and every day with new medical advances. Indeed, our lifespans have already been doubled in the last couple of hundred years. Is 105 acceptable to you? Too old? Should I not get my yearly flu vaccine because that may extend my life?
Civilization adapts. I want the choice. Do some research on the debate of longevity. After you do, please come back and tell me how old I should be allowed to live to and then we can have a different discussion.

I prefer my tax dollars not fund partying.
Looks like Full-Tilt will need a bailout!

Kudos to your grandparents.
