If you have ever read the Bible or the Quran, the respective authors placed much more care in writing the parables that act as a moral guide than in writing about creation, or apocalypse.
I can't speak for the Quran, but you've totally missed the point of the Bible. Sure it contains in it information about how we should live our lives and conduct ourselves. It's a big collection of stories, history, and letters. However, the overall theme of the book from beginning to end is about how a consious and personal God has gone out of his way to rebuild a relationship with humankind that was badly broken shortly after we were created, or grew from a mutated algea depending on your beliefs. It makes it much more interesting to read if you understant why all that stuff is going on, and what the big picture is.
My organization is searching for highly motivated, individuals with the ability to work well independently and in groups. Strong people and martial arts skills are a must. You must be willing to relocate.
Our organization will have a dominant role in the new era. The empire headquarters will be in Central America, though there are opportunities in ALL locations around the world.
Chances are that if you're reading this, you are already one of the top 2% richest in the world. So you didn't make it to the top 0.001%, get over it. You don't have to hunt and gather for a living, you married for love rather than picking the heftiest firewood hauler in the village. Refocus your priorities on building and improving relationships in your life. That will improve you life far more than a couple million.
The one who dies with the most toys doesn't win, they're dead, and they probably spent more time with their toys than with the people in their lives.
Whoever builds the first main stream whereable, I sure hope they have the sense to make it Laser Tag ready. (Sensors on the front/back/head/shoulders, etc).
"God is dead" -- Nietzsche "Nietzsche is dead" -- God
There is a lot we don't know. Most people in western culture believe in science with as much faith as Christians follow God. Modern science is still mostly theories. Newton thought he had a pretty accurate theory for how the world worked. Einstein came along and showed that newtonian physics was not the whole story. Einstein only had a small part of it figured out. To say evolution is the full story of how we were created is naive, we don't know that yet.
By Monday the newest item on the Linux feature list will be: "It prevents MS Outlook and Office from running."
I am an avid Linux user, at home and work. However, I have no illusions that Linux/Unix security is better at preventing viruses from infecting a machine. According to "A Short Course on Computer Viruses" (see below book info), the smallest virus which only reproduces was a bourne shell script of 8 characters. Though you need about 5 lines for one which will replicate, evolve, do data diddling for damange and work on most Unix systems. I am no expert on viruses, but from what I have read, viruses easily cross user bounderies and security levels. The problem is that no modern OS's have any sort of mechanism to maintain integrity of files. This is usally handled by 3rd party add on applications, like virus scanners, tripwire, etc...
Anyhow, for those of you who wish to read more about viruses, and interesting/sneaky things which can be done with them, check out:

If you do...
I'll also add that this book also discusses countermeasures and methods of prevention.
