Cmon, to the O.P. , edit the damn title to include the word "Console" because when I first glanced at the list , coffee came out of my nose. Like some of the comments.. no doom? no ms. pacman?
granted, even for a Console list.. how the f*ck did FFXII rank above FFIII ? Guiness Should hold themselves to a higher standard, and I would LOVE to see who the judges were.. fricken morons.
Didn't I just read a month or 2 ago about the CMOS manufacturer Phoenix (bios programmers) that are developing their own "pre-OS" called hyperspace. it is supposed to run at a level between the main OS and the cmos.. a quick boot , if you will, just like this splashtop.
their whole marketing angle was aimed at the user who doesn't want to wait for Vista's (not xp's) huge bloated startup time if they just want to pop a DVD into their laptop to watch, or check their email.
got the feeling that it would be a big help to business laptop people. I can totally see the benefit, sometimes I just want to check my email when I'm out on a jobsite, and if I could just start up a small OS layer to run a few applications, like outlook, I would jump on that in a second.
Point in fact: I use Verizon's VZ Navigator more than I use the phone to call anywhere. it gives you maps, directions, gps location, and the phone number and address.
are you kidding? did you really just defend your argument with an allusion to kids roaming the streets?
we are talking about kids buying video games. end of story.
if you decide to back this high and mighty manager who sets policy in a corporate store without approval, then where and when would it end?
Would you think it ok, if the person at the checkout line in the supermarket wouldn't sell kids candy without mommy saying ok? or how about not letting the kids into an arcade or skate park? Hell, take away every venue for kids to have fun in altogether unless they show good grades! scholastic acheivement and any punishment or rewards resulting from that, are the duty of schools and parents.. NOT joe shmoe at the baseball card shop. this is the United States of America. if you dont want kids to buy things without their parental approval than DON'T SERVE MINORS.
