Yeah, that would be nice. Not so much for the increase in coding discussion, but because unrealircd has quite a few spy on the users features that i would like to be without.

I simply love the fact when people are pulling out the children argument.

First, i for one don't think pornography is doing even one tenth the harm of seeing brutal violence.

Second, i don't get why the preferred method is filtering, isn't that just making you kid more intrigued about this thing? If i were a parent, i would advise my kid and just keep an open eye on him/her when they were using the computer.

  3. Re:Hunters on Houston Police Chief Wants Cameras in Homes · · Score: 1

Actually, thats exactly on the point. Another thing which i know a lot of my friends and mine recognises is, when you see a police car just driving normally by, you often just think for a split second, "What have i done". Now imagine having that feeling all the time, because they are watching you all the time, thats not gonna be nice.

  4. Beware, summary kinda misleading. on Sweden To Be Oil-Free By 2020 · · Score: 3, Insightful

It will only be free of oil in 2020. Other renewable energy sources will first be fased out later. Which also makes more sense considering Swedens large dependancy of Nuclear Energy.

  6. Too bad their postmasters are so lame on Google Acquires 5% of AOL · · Score: 0

AOL has zero idea what the hell they are doing when it comes to mail. They tout SPF on their site (postmaster.aol.com) However..i've recieved a bunch of mails from them, supposedly returned mails. This i get eventhough my domain uses SPF and the sender originally sending them is NOT listed in allowed senders. Way to go AOL.

  7. Legit sites getting hit in crossfire on Death of Cookies, Spyware Greatly Exaggerated? · · Score: 0

It is time to stop telling users to delete or block cookies, it causes a lot of problems for legit sites.

And really, just block 3rd party cookies, and perhaps only allow session cookies, that more or less gets rid of the evil advertiser cookies.

  8. It doesn't end there on OpenTV Like TiVo on Steroids · · Score: 0

Well, it would be nice to get rid of tampon commercials. However, what about when they start targetting prices in the supermarket based on your ad profile? They are not doing this to make it easier for you, they are doing this to milk the most money out of you, by providing high prices on what you like, and low prices on stuff you dislike.
