I too worked for a school district for a number of years. Long before the rash of school shootings we had a computer club after school, the kids did some basic programming, "repaired" old PC's and played video games. Yup, Doom, Hexen and a litte Dark Forces. Oddly enough at that time the schools administrators had no problem with the games. In fact a school board member and several junior high teachers would stop by to play with the kids.
I know it's had to wrap you mind around but nobody brough an AK-47 to school. Suing iD and others because video games are "bad" is like me suing Mexico because Taco Bell gives me gas...
FreeNet's independence makes it even slower than gnutella. I'm not willing to wait 15 minutes for one track off a CD. However FreeNet is great for text/html goodies. Lots of good sci-fi and tech stuff waiting for the download. Maybe this front-end will encourage more nodes and speed the whole network up.
Linux is a cancer that is eating away at M$ profit margins.
If you've ever used HPUX you'll understand why HP is start to play with Linux more.
Amen! I'll turn myself in for the grill...
